Damian was created by his biological mother, Talia Ah Ghul, when she managed to acquire some sperm from Bruce Wayne. Although created in a lab, Damian is the son of Talia and Bruce. Bruce did not know about Damian for the first 10 years of his life. During this time Talia raised Damian as part of the League of Assassins. Damian was trained to kill before he knew how to talk.
At the age of 10 Talia revealed Damian's existence to Bruce and Bruce took the boy in. Damian did not fit into the Wayne family at first due to his lethal nature. Bruce and Damian's older brother Dick Grayson both set out to deprogram the boy. In time Damian learned to fight, but not kill, although he continued to threaten lethal violence, especially towards his brother Tim.
Over time Damian began too see that Talia viewed him as little more than a solider. He began to bond with Bruce's then-girlfriend Karen Starr. When Karen and Bruce married Damian was all to happy to have Karen adopt him. He quickly viewed Karen as more of a mother than he ever had Talia.
Damian settled into his new family life very well and even formed a relationship with Kitrina Falcone. The two had an innocent childhood romance until the 12 year old Kitrina tried to make it more physical.
When Karen gave birth to a little girl, Stacy, Damian took his role as her protector very seriously. Circe kidnapped Stacy and Damian and Kitrina went to go rescue the baby, against Karen's wishes. During the rescue Circe cast a spell on all three kids aging them. Over night Stacy was 12, Damian was 16, and Kit was 15.
Damian had little trouble adjusting to life as a teenager. Mentally he was older than his physical age anyway.
With this new age came physical desires and hormones. Damian lost his virginity to Kitrina but eventually broke up with her when he felt that sex was all she wanted from their relationship. He ended up dating fellow Teen Titan member, Charlie Gage-Radcliff.
Damian is currently a senior at Wayne Prep and is focused on graduating so he can take his place by his father's side at Wayne Enterprises, where he feels he belongs.
